Liking this book was a safe bet.

What happens when a controlled event planner collides with a multi-millionaire, Marine veteran, confirmed playboy; a life altering explosion.
Kate Adams is an organized list maker, which makes her a great event planner. If she can just land the coveted event that seems to be in the works for Michael Maddox's company, it could be a game changer.
Michael Maddox does not do relationships. He's an unapologetic one-night-stand kind of guy. It has worked well for him until the night he literally collides with Kate at a bar. The only thing worse than being chased by demons from his past is being conflicted by his desires for a different future.
Although I never quite figured out the title, I liked The Safe Bet by Brittney Sahin. The writing was easy reading and the characters were interestingly complicated. I liked the danger and action, as well as the cat and mouse moments. Michael came across as a jerk, even to the point of being unlikable. However, with each revelation of his inner turmoil, I understood him better and his ultimate transformation was more believable. Kate was likable from the start, but it became obvious that there was going to be some emotional pain in her future. For those who care, there are several very steamy intimate scenes and some occasional expletives.
All in all I would give this book a solid 4.0
