I'm not even finished this book yet and it has become one of my favs! There's soooo many gems throughout the entire book. Cora reminds us to fully surrender trust, believe and have faith in God, because His plans are better than our plans and that He is really for us and has our good in mind. She speaks to us like a big sister who wants to see us win, grow and overcome every battle and hardship we face in life. She reminds us who we are in Christ and what we are capable of. She reminds us to trust the process even if it hurts because "beauty can come from painful things". At the end of each chapter she prays for us and gives us little challenges. I would recommend you buying this page turning book! My book is highlighted to the max! lol

I actually began this book sometime ago. My heart and spirit were not ready to receive its message at that time. I am glad that God is sovereign and brought me back to it. The book is both inspirational and informative. I had to really look within myself and acknowledge that my faith has become miniscule. I am not talking mustard seed faith but a faith that became consumed by doubt and worry as I repeatedly took everything back into my own hands instead of relying upon God to be God.

Vague but if the Lord speaks - poignant

Like a lot of books about how to build your walk with the Lord, this book is a cheerleader for reaching your "purpose." While Coleman interweaves her story of infertility, she often makes your "purpose" seem like something that will launch you onto a grand scale - faith it and you too will write blogs, speak in front od thousands, and craft award winning books. It fails to correlate "purpose" to being very personal and often simple - for Coleman, it is probably raising the son she so yearns for amd the legacy she hopes that builds. For others, their "large storm" may be healing wounds and thus breaking generational iniquities or simply offering infectiously joyful smiles to the world. But the Lord spoke about my place in my walk, despite being a bit frustrated by the generalities early on, and helped guide me to where I still need to "faith it" a little more - which hopefully will impact my world greatly. If you seek Him through the path Coleman walks down, I pray He will help you too see through the the places in your heart that He needs to touch and heal with some faith from you.

If you are going through a moment in your life, you feel like you're all prayed out and you're on the verge of giving up, pick up this book, and discover how there is a great purpose in your pain. This book is an amazing read on several levels! The chapter on "Believe God" goes to the core of why it is so critical to TRUST God, especially over our own thoughts of negativity. The author gets to the heart of the matter in numerous aspects of our lives concerning faith in God.

Sometimes faith is exactly what we need. Yet, we resist and and try to walk in our own strength and avoid our purpose. I love the approach Cora Jakes takes to beautifully explaining what "Faithing It" is. The forward by her father, T.D. Jakes is a perfect introduction to the text and the woman who authored it. I am glad to have picked up a copy of this book while on special, but it is worth its price in rubies!
