While we really enjoyed the first two books in the series

This is the 3rd Rush Revere book we've read. While we really enjoyed the first two books in the series, this one was by far the worst of the bunch. The story opened with a chapter about Tommy's grandpa being sick. It really had no relevance to the story whatsoever. Most of the book recycled puns from the first two books. It felt like this was written just to get another book on the shelf to make more sales. I agree with other reviewers that the title is misleading. Very little of this book was worthwhile information and very little of it detailed Francis Scott Key and the Star Spangled Banner. The story line was weak. Most of the book was about the kids searching for answers to uninteresting questions while they toured through various historical buildings including The Supreme Court, Independence Hall and The Washington Monument. They would text their answers to Rush or Liberty. Not only that, but the characters seemed much more contrived, including a snobby, shallow cheerleader from the kids' school.
I say don't waste your money on this one.
