Why can’t it be easy to make a return for repair???

I’m really disappointed with this product (GB70) It had a problem and would not hold a charge from Day 1. I read all of the instructions and tried everything it said but it was just defective. I contacted the mfg. for a return and instead of issuing an r/a they needed all kinds of proof of purchase serial number and description of issues and then they would decide if it would be covered under warranty. Any modern mfg., that sells direct, logs the serial number and can track the order themselves. Just let me return YOUR defective product and fix it!!!, 1970s customer service service
