Disturbing storyline for Ridge. Very disappointed with where the author took us.

I'm going straight to the point with this review. By now if you're picking up Book 7, youve read all previous 6 books and have INVESTED a lot of time in these characters.
If you Love Ridge and Sardelle, then you may be very disturbed by Ridge's storyline. Coming from a reader who usually reads Romance and branches off into other genre's, this definitely hit a very bad sore spot for me.
Ridge's storyline. Bad sorceress wipes Ridge's memory for the past 6 books!!!! (So why is he even here?? What's the point). She then proceeds to drug him, and rape him. And worse off, it's brushed off afterwards like it was no big deal. That's a huge NO NO to such a sensitive topic. I was NOT expecting this from Ms.Buroker and I'm reallllllly disappointed on the way she wrote Ridge's storyline in Book 7. What was the point? I would've rather him dead than read about him forgetting about the past 6 books with Sardelle, and then also getting raped by the sorceress that we don't even like.
I feel betrayed by the author after spending 6 books with these characters.
Very disappointed it is getting a very Strong 1 star because of the overall leadup from the last 6 books into what could've been an epic ending to the Series into a waste of time.
If you want to preserve the great relationship between Ridge and Sardelle, look away now.
