Seriously, this title describes the hows, whys and wheres of swimming with sharks within the framework of interesting information about shark biology and preservation. A glossary, index and “further reading” are included in the back of this slim 48-page book. This one is probably worth the steep price however, as each page is packed with cool pictures and intriguing facts. It’s a fun read, and there’s just enough information to make it very useful for upper elementary reports, and mildly useful for middle-school projects. As bait for reluctant readers, or a fun reading for non-fiction fans, however, it’s first rate. Recommended grades 4 - 7 (originally published in the WashRAG)
