Numbered lists do not correspond to numbered items in samples and figures. The percentage sign (%) is used in place of the degree sign (°) at least twice in figures showing that flow meters should be installed at 90° angles. Illustrations showing the differences between the shape of the electrode you would use for DCEP, DCEN, and AC TIG welding have the positive and negative symbols sorta randomly placed. The shop math chapter defines variables, then promptly uses new variables that aren't explained or defined anywhere...
Don't get me wrong, there's a LOT of really good information in here, and for the most part it has been incredibly useful in my studies as I change careers and learn to put metal together, but I've found numerous errors in each and every chapter. My welding instructor has to repeatedly note which information is incorrect. I'm a little upset that I've paid this much for the EIGHTH EDITION of a text book with this many errors in it.
