Very Religious and a little out there
Reviewed in the United States on May 29, 2020
First off this book was written in 1963! Not the 2019 as stated on the page on Amazon (right under the title is stage 2019) so of course I think it is new. Google search when this book was written and you will see it was 1963.
Also, upon further reading Murphy receives $2000 from a gentleman who tells him to go take a European tour --which he did. So that also is a dead giveaway to the time this was written. So it is biased back to that era. When I got the book and skimmed through it I wanted to return it but the $6 to return left me with a $5 credit. Seemed cheaper to donate to Library. So keeping it for now. I am a Life Coach and have a Psychology degree with Biology as well and it is very religious in tone (turns out he is from Ireland and a Minister (so that along with the 1963 publishing date explains a lot that you see in the book) and a wee be out there ( Murphy talked about how 1 woman in her sleep she is projecting her body and touring an home up for sale and the other people can see her walking through their home???). The first 73 pages are affirmations and they are pretty good some are really good. But then the limited knowledge of 1963 and being a minister gets in the way and it gets a little or a lot hooky. I was expecting more affirmations and less religion but I didn't do my normal research before buying. Had I, I would not have ordered this book. I would suggest Dr. Shad Helmsetter and Marisa Peer and Dr. Wayne Dyer or even Jack Canfield for you to read. Out of 277 pages, most of them are stories of supernatural healing, made up stories (my opinion but read for yourself at the library and get your take on it) or heavy duty religion, but that makes sense now that I know his background. The review of pages you can see do not include all the religion that is in the book. Unfortunately I also ordered another book of his. Oh, well. Next time I will definitely check out from library first before ordering and spending my good money. I really don't understand the 4 & 5 star reviews, especially once I have looked at it.
