How customer reviews and ratings work

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Great and intriguing series. Really enjoy these books! I enjoy them more than the Harry Potter series because things actually happen in the Magesterium series, rather a lot of build up and small outcome like in the Harry Potter books. I’ve only read up to book 4 in Harry Potter to be fair. Anyway, Magesterium is a fun and interesting read.

2.0 out of 5 starsLAAAAAAME Ending!
Reviewed in the United States on January 8, 2018
The ending was horribly painful. I'll try not to be a spoiler...but let's just say--the written choreography of the ending was nothing like the other books. Everything was out of whack--not just for the characters but also in the writing. It was painfully stupid in a way.Absolutely, totally lame. There would have been so many better ways to accomplish what happened in the end. LAME-O!!!

So yeah this one out of twisting and I definitely didn't see coming. Oh yes I definitely knew Whodunnit as they say that was pretty obvious from the beginning of the book but the twist well that I didn't quite see coming good pacing in the story line and a nice twist to something that could have been very predictable I'm still actually a little bit in shock I guess that's a good thing definitely want to read the next one check this one out it will definitely not bore you if you're a fan of the series.

2.0 out of 5 stars Authors politics are evident.

The beginning of the end in this series. In this book the author starts the small references to gay politics that bombard the next book, and kill the storyline. At least there is a little focus on the storyline in this one, unlike the next one. Might as well stop at the second book in this series. It just gets weird after that.

4.0 out of 5 stars Why the book sucked but was also good

The book was pretty good. It had twists turns and great suspension. Spoiler alert. However the ending was horrible. First why would two people who could easily have knocked out Alex without him noticing not do it. Also how would fake Anastasia pull of the shapeshifting with no training or anyone noticing. Finally how would she know to look for Call. That is why I only gave four stars and not five. I would recommend the book to anyone who has the patience to accept most of this and those who enjoy fantasy and magic.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good, short read; solid continuation of the series

The Bronze Key is the third installment for The Magisterium series. It is a powerful addition to the series, and I had been waiting for it and purchased it on the day it came out. With that, keep in mind that this little review is from the point of view of a fan of the series.

This book feels a tad shallow, to be honest. It's writing is light, just a bit too light, and only hints at deeper themes. That's also not a bad thing, because the intended audience is clearly a younger one; perhaps just a few years younger than a Harry Potter audience. It's also terribly short, though that might just be due to the fact that I read through it in one sitting, eating up each page excitedly.

The story, however, is deliciously unique and deliciously interesting. Even as an adult, I find that I love it. This sequel has managed to continue that. A new, intriguing character is introduced-- Anastasia, a mysterious Assembly Mage who seems obsessed with white-- and current characters get more fleshed out. We learn more about Alex, are shocked by criminal acts, feel our trust betrayed, and ultimately follow the story, riveted, because it is interesting.

So it's a good book. I won't go into too much depth, because who needs to read spoilers? But if you've read the first two, and you're fine with the writing being just a bit light (I would personally /love/ this series written with a lot more exposition and depth, but to each their own), then this book will be excellent for you. Particularly if you want to see a bit more of the dynamic for Callum and Aaron, who actually seem to interact more and better in this book than the previous ones.

The story is very good and exciting. The reason I give it only three stars is the books seem to be smaller and smaller it gets good and then you have to buy another book.

It seems like these books are getting shorter or maybe I'm reading them faster. This is my favorite of the series so far and I can't wait to start the next one!
