Kitty and Kindness rule

In which it takes a long, long time for the actual plot to happen, but it's worth it in the end.
I am very fond of Kitty and co., but as other readers have said there are ALOT of characters to deal with in this book. For me personally there are also a lot of skirmishes and small battles before the actual plot comes clear maybe 9/10's of the way through the book. The actual end of the book is very fulfilling, especially to a long time reader of this series. Something finally goes right for Chuck (I have been hoping), Kitty resolves a personal nightmare, and with the help of her daughter and her allies Kitty finds a way to wage peace. Which given the world we are living in is fabulously gratifying.
Because for me personally most of this book was a struggle, it was losing stars like crazy. But I found the end so pleasing the book earned most of its stars back. To be honest what I enjoy most about Ms. Koch are her characters and her humor. So by the 14th book I have limited patience for yet another fight. But as long as Kitty and her family and friends remain funny and kind and smart I will probably want to tag along.
And again, thanks for giving Chuck some closure. I missed him.
