How customer reviews and ratings work

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

5.0 out of 5 starsOne of the greatest Holy Ghost help , self help Books couldn't do what this book did.
Reviewed in the United States on June 22, 2017
One of the greatest read. I cried in almost every chapter I had to stop digest, regress in order to move forward to progress in my new place of peace, learning and unlearning. Processing differently a renewed mind. This book opened up some stuff, killed some stuff, confirmed some stuff man this is Holy Ghost help book. #nomoreselfhelp #ihadagoodpurge. I wanted to finish this book quickly but I couldn't it requires me to take my times plus the things that it revealed about me I needed time to process. I felt as if I could write my own book for each chapter. AWESOME

3.0 out of 5 starsGreat Main Points, Lacking Depth
Reviewed in the United States on July 31, 2017
Imagine the kind of outline you used to make for a term paper in High School. Imagine that the main headings are A+ material, the sub-headings are A- minus material, and when you get down to the details, the quality drops off to C+.
This book is just like that.
The author has a strong personal story, and the main themes of the book - that good things usually come from risk taking, that "playing it safe" has its own dangers, and we should not allow setbacks to make us overly risk-averse - are totally valid and need to be said. I was a bit disappointed at the (lack of) depth however. Instead of a great principle, deeper explanation of the principle, multiple examples of the principle in action, and suggestions/plans for applying the principle, the reader gets a great principle followed up by cheerleading, slogans, and other relative superficialities.
Overall not a bad book, and it's based on some outstanding insights. I fully expect this author's next book to be better.

5.0 out of 5 stars But God...

I believe that this book will make a lot of women young and season forgive themselves. We make mistakes in life. But we don't forgive ourselves nor do we think that we can get back up from our mistakes and past. But God.... He forgave us long ago. We have to be willing to love ourselves and give ourselves a chance to regroup and examine ourselves. Before we can understand God loves us no matter what!
I rate this book base on the truth about who Sarah is and she put it all out there. Letting us know that we all go through the same situation no matter who you are and where we come from.

Shout out to a true woman of God,

We read this in our Bible study group and we all hated it. The author is full of herself, and the book is almost void of scripture, yet it is sold as a Christian book. For me, the most annoying thing is that it is littered with clueless statements - I almost through the book across the room after her reading her crass, sillly interpretation of the character Toby from the movie Roots. I just can’t...

This book is what every young, seasoned and in-between woman should read if she truly wants to confront her hurts, pains, mistakes and GROW from them. This book allows one to purposely allow God to be the head of your life. It is a graceful, raw truth of what so many of us have experienced. Allow it to help you on your journey to a God-centered life full of self love.

Great book that forces you to look inward and reflect on root of negative thoughts or emotions. Once you discover root of negative emotions, the book gives example about how ask God for help and declare HIS Word over that area. It gives steps and practical suggestion about moving forward in your life from your past. I highly recommend this book. Sarah shares a lot of her mistakes and the tools use to overcome then and step into victory.

Some friends and I started a book club and this book was our second read. Sarah Jakes Roberts opens up about her life and shares a lot that really makes you look within, think, and re-evaluate yourself and what is before you. She brings various things into perspective that you may have wondered what, why, and how. Her journey in life will help one see, you are not alone and though you may have done things you may not be proud of, it's not the end....keep moving. There is more in you, for you and many things to occur through you because of the Greater One, Jesus Christ. This book is a good read and I recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow this book is powerful & life changing

This book can be life-changing for many. It has really helped assist me with confirmation and my emotional healing journey. Mentally and spiritually helped me. Even if you're not a Christian, you can get a lot from this. Just know what to eat and what to throw away. This book is definitely worth it. I look forward to reading it again. I'm almost done with it.I read it out of order LOL. I wish the audiobook was in her voice. This young lady is wise beyond her years
I've been listening to her father for over two decades who is also powerful Bishop TD Jakes. I thank God for both of them. I can relate to a lot of Sarah's testimony like a teen Mom, divorce etc. Although she's younger than me she's teaching me. Thanks Sarah for being so transparent open and vulnerable. You're an inspiration. I'm so proud of you. This is one of my new favorite books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sarah!!

I bought this book after discovering this beautiful woman of God by happenstance.

Let me start by saying l am a Christian woman who prays everyday. But l am human and as we all do, l get caught up in the world of stress and anxiety and overwhelm. I was drowning and when l found myself asking my friends to pray for me because l felt disconnected from God, I found Sarah by His Grace as l was struggling to keep my heart and head above some pretty heavy storms. I came across one of her sermons on YouTube when l was searching for something...anything to help me find direction or even a moment of peace. I just didn't know what that something was until l found myself captivated by her message. My heart opened up and l could hear the voice and guidance of my God again! I sought out more of her sermons and made them a part of every day and she helped me find my courage and strength again. She helped me find my shine and my soul and more importantly, helped me find my way back to my Savior l was desperately missing and needing because l was blinded and deaf due to fear and uncertainty. I was alive but l wasn't living until my heart opened up again and l thank Sarah for her compassion and profound messages!

I was gifted with a KJV bible many years ago written by her dad, Bishop TD Jakes -Woman Thou are Loosed and l love it! Between the two of them, their sermons and testimonies and the powerful way they deliver the word of God...l am strong and have found my way back to me and my Father.

I am still reading this book and can absolutely without hesitation recommend it highly! ♥️
