It's modern in the sense that it doesn't depict real world experiences with much experience. Off the bat, it shows a high school football team from the point of view of a theater kid. There is little relatability with this film. It doesn't go in depth and takes gen z tropes to a new level with no payoff.

Nerve is no doubt, the best movie I have ever seen. When I watched this movie for the first time, three years ago, I loved it and I still do to this day. Nerve is a rollercoaster of insane emotions, all happening at once. This film goes from being full of fun and games for teenagers to violence and getting paid large amounts of money to do horrible things. Meanwhile, throughout the whole movie, there is an intense relationship forming between the two main characters.

Though there are so few characters, the roles were executed very well. Every person in the movie had an important role. Vee is my favorite character. As the main role, she plays a huge part in the complexity of this movie. Vee starts off as a shy, boring character who is looking forward for college. Vee’s best friend, Sydney, is outgoing and fun to be around. When Sydney finds out about an online game called Nerve, she talks Vee into playing with her. Little did Sydney know, this game would cost her more than she could imagine and potentially end their friendship and more importantly, their lives. At some point in the girls playing this game, Vee is dared to kiss a random guy for $200. This is where Ian comes in. Vee had no clue that Ian was also playing this game. Once they had formed a connection, they were game partners from there on.

This movie may seem innocent up until now. Sorry for the spoilers, but this movie takes a strong turn when Vee gets obsessed with this game and all the money she is receiving. The story only gets better from there. One of the ending scenes is Vee in an arena, holding a gun to Ian’s head. From hackers, love stories, fake names, fake deaths, to risking your life to be with someone you have only known for a week, this movie has it all.

I could not recommend this movie any more than I have. I have watched it countless times, and the thrill is still there. I have showed this movie to everyone of my friends and forced them to watch it. If you prefer books over movies, the movie is based on a novel, so I recommend checking that out. Watching this movie was an amazing experience and I think this movie outstands all other movies I have ever watched.

Although this is one of the craziest movies I have ever watched, it is one of my favorites. I have watched it over and over and each time I am on the edge of my seat with my heart pounding! Highly recommend if you are into thrilling romances. I would call it a thriller before a romance but the two themes in this movie work so well together as they are whisked across the city under the control of their "watchers." Crazy start, crazy climax, and of course a crazy ending.

I was watching this movie and there was swearing at a few places. At 0:08:30 there is a s**ual innuendo. At 0:11:06 she says the d word. At 0:25:40 she says the s word. At 0:27:15, there is alot of s**ual harassment. There is bad language at There is swearing at 1:59:59, where h*** is said. There is swearing at 1:01:11 where she says the b word.

Watch at your own risk and kindest regards. I personally love naughty language. Guess who's not getting on the nice list this year? Teehee.

DAVE FRANCO- Jame’s brother is very cool and handsome and Emma Robers is cool too not that pretty or sexy but very cool to look at. And she’s brave, and again cool.

They make a perfect couple everyone will envy and love at all.

And then fair amount of neon lights, city that you’ve never seen before. All the stunts to achieve score such as stick inside the bottom of the railroad when the train comes just to gain score, forget about the traffic light and just dash the crossroad, put a ladder in between two apartment rooms and across them super dizzy.

It’s not a joke it’s a life risk.

They are crazy. You will shout.

But most of all they achieve love. Dave Franco and Emma Robers.

They make a great couple, good chemistry.

Henry Joost, Ariel Shulman couple the first time feature co-director made some serious cool video game based movie. A post modernish you will all love.

And the main actress Emma wants to go to CALARTS too the school that I got my MFA degree.

Anyway that’s not the point. The point is that this movie is packed with electric sound music and cool neon lights, cool shots and editing and acting.
