This book tells about the very beginning of the Kuttner family who were one of the ten founding families who settle the new planet, New Eden. It is very intriguing and suspenseful. I have read the series by Louisa Locke detailing the Wu family, and I am very interested in this segment of the Paradisi Chronicles. I recommend this for mystery readers who have not ventured into scifi. I have not read scifi before so this was a pleasant surprise, not too technical to understand.
Part of the Paradisi Chronicles, a shared universe constructed by multiple Sci-Fi authors who then go on to write stories of this Universe independent of one another, but with shared elements of the Paradisi Universe. This is a whole new way of writing/reading for me, and I have to say, I totally love it. Each author brings their own spin and characters into a shared Universe, so some things are familiar, some are unique, but all are delightful reads so far!! This is a very excellent contribution to the whole and stands alone just fine.
Oh my goodness - this is the third book I've read in the Paradisi Project - I mostly read on my elliptical, but tonight I just had to keep reading when I was done with my workout - I had to finish this book tonight...and I'm actively searching everywhere for the sequel that was promised to be out this past winter (2017-2018), I sure hope I find...have to know what happens to Saya and Trevor
This is a novella, a prequel probably of a novel to come. This is a new author for me, and a genre I don't often read, a future world science fiction. I read it in one evening, possibly longer than I expected to stay with a book, but I just had to finish. So, recommended for all who love this genre, and for others like me who like to dip occasionally into something different.
