This movie is not one that I regret watching, but it won't be rewatched. The plot had so much going for it, but it lacked in the follow through. It needed an extra 20 minutes added to it honestly.
*Spoilers*
There was no tell off of the boss, or walking out of the office against orders. The ending made no sense since he made his decision the evening before, but he was found walking out of the woods. Why did he do that? It would have been better if he either told his ghost fiancรฉ a dramatic goodbye, or he was in the kitchen making pancakes and she thought it was the groundskeeper cooking her breakfast, then seeing that same groundskeeper walking up the front steps. She would have caught her breath and rushed in to see him standing there past when he should have gone. Almost any drama to the ending would have gotten this at least 4 stars from me.
They had a great cast, a great plot, and a great backdrop with the inn. Yet they lacked any drama that would have made this love story fantastic. Worth the watch if you are bored, but otherwise, almost any hallmark movie will hit the same spot but slightly better. Again great actors all around, just the director went against using drama where it mattered.
