VERY EASY TO EMULSIFY W/ VCO TO KEEP IT FROM BEING GLOBBY
Reviewed in the United States on April 8, 2019
I've been eating this Goat Whey for two years and I really appreciate that it is just one ingredient.
I only use one scoop for a serving--that is plenty of protein for me--and this has a nice mild flavor without tasting overly 'goaty'.
at first the powder didn't blend in to the liquid.
then a solution came to me. mix it with the oil first to emulsify the powder. =) If you use oils in any of your recipes with the goat whey, this solution makes adding the whey very easy.
feel free to experiment with this idea. feel free to comment and let others know how this works out for you. or if you came up with a different idea.
I make up three 16-ounce jars at a time. keep the one I am using in the cabinet. and store the extra two in the fridge, although I may or may not need to.
in a 16-ounce container (I use a 2-cup wide mouth canning jar to easily scoop it out), pour warmed/melted Virgin Coconut Oil about half way or a bit more.
then add the Naked Goat Whey in small / 1/4 cup increments and stir gently until it is blended. Keep doing this until the mixture is the thickness you desire, which for me is still stirrable yet sort of thick.
the coconut oil will again become more solidified as it cools.
I use a warm spoon to scoop it out. if it is really thick, I put a paring knife in to cut some chunks out for the amount I want.
I mostly drink this as a warm milk drink with stevia and Ceylon cinnamon. which has a flavor close to 'warm cocoa' since I'm not eating any cocoa or cacao right now.
10 ounces very warm water, 1/4 teaspoon Ceylon cinnamon powder, and 2 heaping Tablespoons of the oil/whey miix.
