Top critical review
Mezzo, mezzo. Come si, come ca. In other words, it’s just okay.

I bought this leave in because I’d seen videos on YouTube stating that the Shea butter version contains rubbing alcohol. This was presented as a serious warning and offense to women trying to maintain the moisture in their Natural/Curly/Kinky hair. This is a definite priority for me, as my hair is Kinky/Curly and very delicate, prone to tangles and pretty long. I don’t have any interest in putting more strain on it or inviting dryness or knots. It can do that on its own. The jury is out with me on this formulation, though. I will say that it seems to require less conditioner to saturate my hair and the look is even nicer than the Shea butter formula. My curls are well defined and shiny. There’s even less shrinkage!! My hair does feel a bit harder, though, with this which I cannot explain. And I have to be MUCH more careful with this one to thoroughly rub it into my hair or it will leave nasty white clumps and reside upon drying. This does not dry clear the way the Shea butter formula does. And that, my friends, may be a deal breaker. With extra care and smoothing, I have found that I can get the clear end result that I could easily get from the Shea butter formula, but I don’t always want to spend that kind of time! So I’m giving this 3 stars. I may update in the future...or I may just go back to the original.
