To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Just as the title states. its a great book for reading about Taijiquan's wu and Li styles. some applications. a few photographs in back. mostly text, good for learning about Yang Luchan and his sons. good for reading.
Despite decades of study and teaching, my knowledge of T’ai Chi Chuan lineages is at best: spotty, broken and contradictory. Family trees and their various branches contend with each other, often distorting dates and personalities. Each family style is a treasure with conflicting versions of its origins. How do you avoid insulting families, antagonizing governments, spreading false information, or all three?
Michael A. DeMarco’s Lesser-Known Tai Chi Lineages cannot bring order to a disordered system. It, nevertheless, presents, dates and categorized information to which I had neither knowledge nor access. It introduced critical people and manuscripts and revealed an unknown source of my style’s lineages.
I may never know the whole story, but I discovered missing links to my Tai Chi style’s lineage.
