Fun With Positive Message

This has become my favorite Christmas movie because of the positive message it conveys. As the lead actress progresses through her 12 dates, she grows as a person and realizes that life is not all about HER and her wants and desires. There is something of far greater importance in life and that has to do with focusing on and helping others. And in the end, if we take the focus off of ourselves and put it on meeting the cares and concerns of others, we will usually find the true happiness we seek. This movie does a great job getting to this place and telling the story in a funny and engaging way, with romance and genuine emotion. It's worth watching anytime, not just at Christmas!

Insipid Groundhog Day rip-off

Totally predictable with mediocre writing and forced frivolity. I love a good Christmas movie, but this one not so much.

Watch Groundhog Day (again) instead

This is a movie that tries desperately to gather the magic of Groundhog Day, and instead only partially succeeds. The acting, for the most part, is fine, but the script leaves something to be desired. Amy Smart is delightful, but no matter how much charm she has she can't save this movie. Her character desires to be both Andie and Bill's character from GHD, but fails in every respect. When I say this movie tries to replicate the prior movie, I'm not kidding. There are multiple scenes, gluttony and saving of a person, that are pulled DIRECTLY from it....but pale in comparison. Do yourself a favor and just avoid this one. I wish I did.

This isn't a Christmas movie. Just because she keeps waking up on Christmas Eve, doesn't make it a Christmas movie. She could wake up on March 4th and this movie would be exactly the same. I like Amy Smart from other movies, but this was cheesy with bad acting. The only person that did a good job was Mark-Paul.

.....really, I'd give it 2 stars, because it was way too long. Too much repetition, and a bit boring. And I liked "Groundhog Day", but this didn't have the same feel to it.
