I have to admit I didn't get most of this poetry. I hadn't really kept up with poetry since college and I got this mainly to see if poetry had kept up with the times and still had something to say to us all.
Honestly I can't answer that question because I didn't get most of the poetic references and my understanding of this man's experience fell far short of enlightenment. There were moments I admired his word usage but the message lay just beyond my grasp.
I really can't fault the author as it may just be that I'm out of the loop when it comes to modern literature and poetry. He may have a huge audience for his work that I know nothing of. But they say poetry is supposed to be universal...so in that regard I can only give three stars because it did not reach me.
I can only review books according to how I reacted to them.
