When great visions enjoin!

Paul Darton was so hated by his older brother Luke, that the older brother resorted to raping and attempting to rape any woman Paul was interested in. Paul refused to sign over his portion of the family land to his father and Luke preferring instead to open up the part of the land he bought with his own money and turned it into a wilderness escape for people in cities to get away and enjoy nature. Kalinda Marsh aka Mary Jane Marshall the product of a beautiful Black woman and a uber rich White man whose house her mother cleaned until his wife learned she was with child. Running from the stigma of her interracial parents she use her masterful storytelling abilities to amass her own wealth by fabricating events and other occurrences garnering herself a large following until she confides in someone she thought was a friend. Said friend outed her causing her to pursue reinventing herself. Her search led her to answer a mail order bride request from Paul where her real adventure with Paul and the people of the small town of Imnaha began. She forged many friendships with the townsfolk who were not used to seeing a Black woman in their town with her cofidence, quick wit and kind spirit. She and Paul fell in love quickly, respected each other and shared the same vision. Luke thinking he could do to Kalinda what he did to Paul's other girlfriend attempted to rape Kalinda but ended up with a gun to his throat and she forced him to let her up at gun point, then Kalinda proceeded to whip his butt as she tried to break what he tried to rape her with. As you can see by the length of this review there was a lot going on in this story. I would suggest you pick up a copy and read all of the things I did not disclose in my review. Great job Ms Gaines, a really great job.
