Slappy Is Back At It Again!
Reviewed in the United States on April 6, 2018
Having grown up with the original Goosebumps, and now having a daughter, I figured I would give his latest expansion on the series a try. Slappy is without a doubt one of the most popular characters in the Goosebumps universe, so it was no surprise to see him on the cover and being the main part of this story. Just as R. L. Stine is prone to do, this book delivers comedy, mystery, and some thrills (for a younger audience obviously) and I plan on reading the rest of the series and to own them so my daughter can enjoy them when she's older. Ian's birthday surprise ends up being a nightmare that only Slappy can orchestrate.
Once Slappy is awakened, chaos and misery normally follow. This book does not disappoint and even has annoying characters, Ian's cousins, that anyone can relate to. You almost can't help but laugh when Slappy terrorizes those two. All in all, a decent entry in the Goosebumps universe.
