Josh and Delaney have more in common than they could ever imagine in "Deadly Seduction" by Jen Talty, the sixth book in the NY State Trooper Series. Josh Burdette is a state trooper working in Lake George. His father was a police officer who died in the line of duty before he was born. His late mother would spend hours telling Josh stories about his father so he could understand what a wonderful person he was. Josh transferred to his current assignment because his life had been threatened while working in NYC.
Delaney Mervis lives in NYC and is a budding writer who works at a publishing house. She receives a visit from "Gray Eyes"( as she calls him), who shows her a video of her brother, Liam, tied up and beaten. She will do anything to save him. Liam's captors send her to Lake George to seduce Josh in order to ruin his reputation. Josh worked undercover for a year within the same organization that now has Delaney's brother, whose leader is seeking revenge on him.
Josh notices Delaney staring at him while she was having dinner and wonders if she has been sent to kill him, but he couldn't resist her charm . She fascinated him and he had to find out the truth. Can Josh and Delaney work together to save her brother, or will they realize that they are the ones who are truly in danger?
I love a story that combines romance and mystery and Jen delivers another winner in "Deadly Seduction." I am excited to read the next book in the series, "When a Stranger Calls."
