Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
We bought this book because my daughters new teacher said its something they will be reading in year 3 and doing work on so we wanted to get ahead during lock down. Its such a lovley read. It isnt a massive book so children don't get lost in the pages. It also has pictures which my daughter loved.
Bought this to read to a 5 year old to see whether we would enjoy the rest of the series. The story is ok; there are lots of mini adventures and it reminds me a bit of Paddington. However the writing style and language and even cultural references are very American and there are a lot of words you need to substitute for English equivalents. It just doesn't feel very natural to read - its kind of jarring. Disappointed.
Great story one which I know from my won childhood. I am also a BIG Rob Biddulf fan so this was the main reason I chose this version. Sadly, the illustrations are all black and white which was a real shame. I purchased for a 4 year old and he likes it.
