I love this series, I couldn't put this book down it was fast pace with lots of suspense and a good love story. Lynn's characters are so real.
This book is about Dex "Double Dee" Davidson. Five years ago he was stood up at church on his wedding day by Annabelle Quinn the love of his life. After that he threw himself into his military career, he got accepted into the elite Black Ops unit known as HOT. He moved on, thought he hated Annabelle, not only did she leave him standing on the altar she married his rival Eric Archer 3 weeks later.
He was home visiting his sick father when Annabelle showed up at his father's farm asking for his help. Her husband was killed in Africa, supposedly in a Lion attack a month earlier.
Annabelle was blackmailed into leaving Dex and forced into marrying Eric who was an abusive husband. Now someone called her saying Eric had stole a lot of money and he wants it back or she will died and so will her daughter. He has given her 24 hours to get the money back to him. No one can help her but Dex.
When Dex finds out that Eric was selling a top secret military project to the Russians, he has no choice but to help Annabelle. With the help from HOT they are in a race against time.
He soon finds out he doesn't hate Annabelle like he thought. Annabelle realizes that she has never stopped loving Dex.
It was good to see what the other guys and gals in HOT are up too, can't wait for Colonel Mendez's book.
