The most addicting Alexa game out there. You don't play against people in real time, your answers are saved and then someone plays against your saved answers (I know because I've ended up playing myself in a 1-person game). Most of the music is from America's Top 40, thankfully not very many country or hard rock music are featured which had their own dedicated radio stations in their respective decades.
Tip: Speak slowly and clearly. As you can see from the photo, sometimes the answers are received phonologically instead of by the letter; this might be to accommodate regional accents.
Tip: After the game ends it wants to blather on about another Volley, Inc. skill called word of the day. Say, "Echo (or Computer/Amazon/Alexa) stop" and then immediately ask for the time (or something). You won't hear the advert.
Tip: If you don't know the song, don't say anything and the clip will play again. You only get it repeated twice.
Tip: You have to be very specific about the artist. Don't say "Michael Jackson" or "Boy George" if the song is sung by "The Jackson 5" or "Culture Club." Plus, the song Lady Marmalade is listed as "LaBelle" and not "Patti LaBelle."
I play by myself while washing dishes and cleaning up the bedroom in the morning. I've also played with guests and have had a blast. You just have to remind them not to say ONE WORD when the music ends except for the song name or artist. Even a sigh can be taken as a response.
