Perfect for Spirit AIrlines!

After researching for a spacious carry on with spinners that were the exact dimensions of the Spirit Airlines personal item maximum, and was a soft case, this one (18inch model) was the only bag I found that fit the bill. After I got it, I measured it myself and sure enough it matches the Spirit Airline personal item bag dimensions limit almost exactly (including spinner wheels) at 18x14x8. I have been able to easily fit it under the aisle, middle, and window seats and have never been asked to put it in their size test bins - though I'm sure it would fit if I were to put it in. There is some "poof" in the front zippered pocket so you have some space to put stuff in the front pouch before the bag gets stretched above the 8 inch depth limit. This bag also fits my 15.6inch hp elitebook laptop. Very glad I found this bag!

Packaging, condition etc was perfect when I received it, a notebook AmazonBasics product. However, the 18" turned out to be way smaller than I expected. Not enough room for more than a day's trip worth of baggage.

18" is too small for cabin bag. Although it just meets the specified requirements on airlines' pages, I got away with an American Tourister 21.6" (same price for that size) when they asked me to place it in the size-check thingy. The American Tourister I bought is definitely better in design (beautiful!) while at the same price.

Not as large interior as I had hoped. In other carryons the bottom goes down between the wheels to provide extra space. In this bag, it sits atop the wheels and you do not get that extra interior space. The front zippered pocket is also very tight and stiff and therefore can not fit much.

handle was wobbly and generally not sturdy. Did not wheel as well as my other suitcases that are name brands. You get what you pay for. I returned it and bought a more expensive, but sturdier carry on.

Unfortunately, two wheels on my first suitcase broke off after extended use and although it took a few months i was shipped a replacement. However, the second suitcase also developed problems (handle is permanently stuck in the down position) after considerable less use and can now only be used by carrying with strap or bending over to wheel it around.

Overall, this is OK. But - I went out and purchased a better quality bag a week later. This bag is smaller than the Samsonite carry on cases - so if it is more than just an overnight or two, invest a little more. I use this bag -but - less frequently. It is an acceptable purchase - but unlike most Amazon products, I would not buy this again.

Only 16 inches of useable space

This item states it is 21 inch suitcase. The quality was good, the wheels were spinners but the suitcase only measured 16 inches of usable space. The wheel took up the additional 5 inches. I have purchased other 21 inch suitcases. They have all had 21 inches of useable space with additional inches for the wheels. I have returned this item and have received a refund. This is a good suitcase if you are looking for a 16 inch suitcase.

So I have a love/hate relationship with this bag. I love that it is so easy to fit in an overhead bin, but it is small. If I have to travel for more than 4 days, it is really tough to get everything to fit.
After 6 months of travel, the front zipper broke. It's not the end of the world, but it still kinda sucks
