Great Collection of Strange Tales!

Lovecraftian Tales: Stories of Weird Fiction and Cosmic Horror continues the long standing tradition of the Lovecraft eZine's goal of bringing strange tales to the public. Edited by Alex Kreitner and Matthew Carpenter, this a wonderful collection of unsettling weird fiction that I'm sure Lovecraft would have enjoyed. All of the tales are good but my favorites are Discarded by Sarah Walker (stormwater discharge was never more frightening), The Innsmouth Run by Paul McNamee (a low key sequel to Lovecraft's story that would fit nicely in HBO's Boardwalk Empire show), Jonas Bell Presents the King in Yellow by James Pratt (an effective tale of what happens if you try to produce The King in Yellow as a stage play; this story was my favorite) and Prisoners of an Invisible Labyrinth by Joshua Dobson (this weird tale puts the WEIRD in a weird tale!). Well worth the price, I highly recommend this collection and looking forward to Volume 2!
