My family travels internationally which means lots of airplane transfers, rail, ferry loading and unloading. Each member has their own set. Only one cosmetic scuff has appeared. About to order another set for my mother as we are taking her to London, Scotland and Ireland for the holidays. We rarely use the middle size. The small size we carry on and the largest size we check. Very pleased with maneuvering and durability of wheels on various rough surfaces. The retractable handle makes for easy storage on ferries and railway. We’ve had zero issues with locking mechanism. We are a family of 4 with kids age 8 and 12.

SAVE YOUR MONEY, TIME, and FRUSTRATION!

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! I literally purchased the procure on April 15 I’ve used it twice and the zipper already broke off the track. The rubber is cheap and bends very easy. Literally COMPLETE FALSE ADVERTISING. Called Amazon and they won’t even let me return the items. So now I’ve spent almost $150 on luggage that is not as durable as advertised nor or of good quality. Do yourself a favor, go to Macy’s, and find you some nice luggage that way. I will never purchase from these people again customer service was awful as well when I called to let them know about their product.

Quality issue. One use and already damaged

Seller eventually reached out to me in response to my review. It took me a while to upgrade to 3 stars.

I changed my star rating because I appreciate after-sales customer service: their response to my dissatisfaction (someone care to respond!!!).
However, I was overseas when they reached out to me (traveling with this broken lousy luggage) so what they offered was not feasible. As I was on a 2-month trip, I had no choice but to buy new luggage to replace this broken one which cost me a fortune since I had no luxury to shop online / no amazon and was at the mercy to get what I could land my hands on.
The seller kept reaching out to me to change my review and I replied BUT when they don't reply to my email, and kept re-sending me emails to request me to change my rating, I realized the emails I received from the very beginning are all automated ones. There is probably some sort of algorithm that get these auto mailers out to those who flagged low rating on their products. I hope fellow consumers will not take advantage of the seller with my exposure of their operations because it is afterall a legit way for them to respond to customers with defective products but in my case, it was unique and they weren't able to recognize that since it was a mechanized process. If you are going ahead to make this purchase, just be prepared the quality will give some day when you have that angry or tired handler. But if not, you may be lucky that it may work for you.

Quality issue. Looks better than it serves. A luggage needs to withstand rugged handling by airport handlers but the material of this luggage failed to demonstrate the description. A photo is worth a thousand words. Check the damage. Luggage purchased in July 2018 and photo taken at airport after first flight.

Had to purchase last minute luggage set for emergency funeral trip out of country. One of the suitcases had huge dent when we picked it up at the baggage claim after first flight. No damage on the way back. Haven't used them since. I originally posted a review with photo, so buyer started repeatedly emailing me to remove the review , promising it is a design flaw that is being fixed and offering a partial refund to compensate for damaged suitcase. Eventually I believed them, they immediately stopped bothering me, but 4 months later I did not receive partial reimbursement, so I am guessing the part about changing design might a lie as well.
The suitcases were cute and easy to move around

When we first bought these on Amazon Prime Day, we thought they were absolutely amazing. One thing that we LOVED about these was the color. In all of the times we have traveled since we bought these, we have only ever seen one other orange bag. When we are at the luggage pick up, our luggage is always easy to spot. Fast forward 18 months or so and the zipper on the inside divider has broken on two of these. The main outside zipper just broke on our largest bag, forcing us to purchase a new set of luggage right before our last trip. There is no reason to try and pay to have the zipper fixed. We pitched the bag. I know, you get what you pay for. That's the case here.

Update: While I'm still disappointed about the product, I am shockingly happy with the customer service that CoolLife has provided. Within hours of posting my rating, they contacted me asking how they could help, etc. I am grateful for them and wish every vendor at Amazon worked in this way!

ORIGINAL: Was super excited about how light this suitcase was and how well the wheels maneuvered........ Then I took a single flight and obviously the lightness also translates to lack of durability!! One flight and a big hole right in the side! ;(

I don't travel often-
I'll take a real trip, (more than 2-3 days) every few years or so, if I can. So, I didn't own a set of luggage, or any large capacity suitcases. I looked for a sturdy, yet affordable set for an upcoming trip to Lake Como Italy for my sister's wedding, then for visiting the surrounding regions of Italy and Switzerland for 2 weeks by train.
I loved the color and look of this 3 pc. set with the features I wanted, and it seemed reasonably priced at just under $200. Unfortunately, between the multiple airports, flights, taxis, hotels and a few trains, they got destroyed. The small case was okay, but the other 2 came back with scuffs, dents, broken zippers, bad wheels and a bent handle.. It's too late for a refund and the warranty might cover it, but why would I want to replace them with the exact same luggage?
I probably should have invested a really serious high quality set instead. Next time.

Will not hold up as a checked bag on an airplane

Looks nice, lightweight and wheels work well. Fast delivery (which is why I chose this set.) The white was easy to pick off the carousel in a hurry… big bonus to me.

Handle doesn’t work with ease and feels flimsy. The zipper seems strong, but don’t believe the stitching will hold up for long.
There is no expandable zipper feature. A real downside for me as I like to shop when on vacation and/or tend to not pack as tidy on the way home. I will have to make sure to pack less when using this luggage as the lack of expansion created an issue closing the bag to fly home- Felt like the seam was about to bust. The shell is likely not going to hold up on another vacation. The photo is of the luggage after one 2 hour flight. Dings, dents and scratches all over it.

Great at first but…

It’s coming up on one year since I’ve purchased these and I sadly have to give them three stars.
They look fantastic, roll wonderfully, easy to clean/wipe off and I love that they all store in each other! My first two trips with them they held up well but then on my third trip the dents began to happen. The main reason for buying these was for the hard shell and I’m disappointed to report it’s not as sturdy as we were hoping for. They are dented badly now and continue to get more each trip I use them.
If you aren’t so much worried about the hard shell aspect of the bags then I say definitely buy them! They really are wonderful bags.. but if the hard shell, like us, was your main concern then I’d look elsewhere.

We used this luggage for the first time in June to go to Alaska. We really like that it is lightweight and the wheels roll so smoothly. My only complaint is when we reached our destination there was a large crack on the large suitcsase, and we are passed our date to return this item

Looks good, moves well, dented on first use

We ordered 2 sets of these for a short international trip. Love that they hold plenty, even without them being expandable. They moved well through the airport, and have a nice matte look to them. But, we were disappointed that they weren't quite strong enough to avoid being dented on the return trip. Both now have big dents on a top corner. Now have to figure out how to file a warranty claim.

Wheel and strap broke first use

I was really excited about this bag. The color is gorgeous and the zippers feel sturdy. The color is great I found my bag right away. On my first and only trip with this bag, one of the wheels was quickly worn down despite only traveling to the bag check. The inside strap on the bag also broke and the bag was not over filled. I am Disappointed in the quality of this bag but don’t want to return all three bags as only the large bag was affected. Hoping to hear from the manufacturer about a replacement and will update my review if I hear anything back from them.
