My four year old and six year old read these books together. They really loved them! They laughed several times and enjoyed the overall story. It only took them a short time to read them, which was the only negative, but I'm still glad we got them.
I read this book with my sons, ages 9 and 2. They cackled through the pages, demanding that I keep reading. My 9 year old has been telling anyone who would listen that this is "the best book ever." The book kept even the little one entertained and fully engaged - which really is the mark of a great kid's story.
Even as an adult, I enjoyed the story and its creativity (though for an almost 40 year old woman, the fart humor sometimes was a bit much - perfect for the kids though).
I received an advanced reader copy of this book and voluntarily provided this honest review.
"I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book." I enjoyed this book about two brothers that love to fart. Their farting normally gets them in trouble at home, but this time it gets them in trouble in space; or does it? This would be a great book for elementary school boys who find farts funny. I even enjoyed this book as an adult.
The author did a great job writing this book, keeping a funny plot line going, while adding the right amount of gross humor. The illustrations enhanced the story and the fart facts at the end were fun and interesting to read. Would definitely put this in my classroom library to get that buy who doesn't like to read into it.
After receiving an ARC book asking to leave my honest opinion: this is the first book I have read by this author. If I hadn't raised 3 boys who are now married with boys of their own, I would say it was disgusting. However, being that mom of boys and grandboys, wow does it get them to pay attention to me reading as well as our 8 year old grandson who read as well. Brothers Willy n Peter always trying to outdo each other and placing blame on their little sister, typical boys. But the star of the story...................Squeaky the hamster!!!!
So I got this book mainly because I have 3 boys. They find gas hilarious. I read it with 8 year old and he laughed everytime they boys passed gas. He found the astronaut suit part the funniest. He couldnt believe that someone wrote such a silly book. Now, its is pretty silly and had some illustrations in it. I think he enjoyed it overall. It took us a while read as he doesnt sit still for long. I think for boys its a fun read. We voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy.
Very funny in a bad body function way! Two brother, Peter and Willy along with their sister's hamster Squeaky go on an unexpected adventure passing gas and noxious fumes to many unassuming victims and end up taking a trip to the moon. With fart fights and an alien war over our moon this is one odd adventure, This book in not for the feint of smells, gross descriptions and great drawings make this a very fun read, there's even an important message snuck into the story. This is not a book for everyone, the butt baring farts, the interaction with the alien and gas weaponry may need a little more mature audience.
Admittedly this wasn't my cup of tea- however, it was my 8 year old son's! He is a reluctant reader and sometimes it's hard to get him engaged. Not do with this book 😉 He had been reading this to me and my 3 year old niece and savoring every bit of it! Both now run around talking about booty blasters and giggling. We have just a little further to go in this one but he's already excited about there being more available and they are definitely in our future
This is my first book from this author and I may end up keeping my eye on this author. This book pulls you right when you open the book til the end. This book is truly made for boys and boys would fart in public than girls would. Peter seems that he likes to get into trouble and dont care about the punishments and then you have willey who thinks about the punishements if they do something wrong.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This fun kid's book was read with two young boys 7 & 8 years old . It was great for a couple afternoons stuck inside during some rain and here has what they have said about this book; It was so funny and the boys in the story ate a lot of gross stuff that made the fart and they did a lot of funny stuff . They went to the moon and did a lot of farts and saw some aliens. The pictures were really funny .
My son hates reading but he had to read something for his after school reading . I stumbled upon this book and we sat and read it together, he loved it ! He though it was funny and entertaining and wanted to read it over and over again .
