This is an excellent series of books geared towards older children and teenagers. After reading the first book, you will WANT to read the whole series. I am a Grandma so I read (and enjoyed) all of them BEFORE passing them on to my Grandson. Some intense scenes, loaded with suspense, but NO foul language or any sexual innuendos at all.

Books came quickly as pictured. I'm a 5th grade teacher and my students and I are loving the first book in the series as a class read-aloud, so I decided to buy the set.
My only complaint about this order is that the box set came munched in the corners. This damaged the corners of the books as well. Not the quality delivery I was expecting from an amazon order.
I will keep this set, because I don't want to deal with the hassle of returning them, but hope they will be more mindful in the future since hard copy books are expensive.

My daughter and I LOVE these books. She checked one out from her school library and we read it together and were both instantly hooked. When I realised it was apart of a series collection I instantly looked the series up and purchased it right away and couldn't wait to recieve it. These books by Margaret Haddix are so intriguing they keep you wanting to read one after the other, just to see what happens next, like a good show series. These books are marvelous and my daughter really enjoys them and so do i. You can't possibly go wrong with these. The series bundle itself arrived a day earlier than expected which we were pleasantly surprised and excited about. They also arrived in prestien condition. I was a little hesitant about the condition these would arrive in because of other reviews exclaiming theirs arrived ripped and/or damaged. So I was naturally a little worried about that, being that they are paperback books. However they arrived in wonderful condition. They are packaged and stored in a keepsake box which is so great. The keepsake box really helps to keep the books in order and in great shape. I also want to mention that some reviews stated they received their package with missing books...i did NOT. It arrived with each book in the series it was suppose to come with and all the books were in great condition. I definitely recommend for those who love to read or have young readers who enjoy a good book. These books are wonderful family books. I can't wait to order more series by Haddix once we have finished all of these 😊

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!
Once I started reading this series it took me a legit 5 days to read because it is so great. After completing the first I kept migrating through book after book in this fictional 7 book set. As a 12 year old kid I'm not a big reader but nothing but nothing stopped me from reading these intense, detailed and blockbuster books for all over 10 years old. (It might be scary for younger kids.) Overall this is the best and always best book published!

When I'm having a bad day I look at the individuals to protagonist in this book and I think wow I thought I had a hard life just to think what they went through day by day year by year the sufferings of these poor people how did they manage it took great ambition and dedication back then just to wake up in the morning move over Americana history now there's something meatier

Sparked My Son's Love of Reading

I knew it was inside of him, but it took this series to unleash it. My son is a reluctant reader with dyslexia. Neither of these facters mattered once he picked up this series. He enjoyed them very much. The reading levels are at a doable range for him and the stories keep him coming back for more.

His teachers approved the use of these stories in book reports. There are various themes and subjects which are interesting enough to spark imagination as well as lead to a comparison of our society.

If you have a middle or high school student who is a low reader, pick up this series. Encourage your school libraries to buy the entire set if they do not already have them on their shelves.

It's perfect because of the movies. It's So so because of the packaging. Phase one is self contained int the suitcase, phase two is not, I had to leave it in the box and to get to the movies I had to dismantle the whole thing. Not all of us have a man cave or some wall cabinet to display our so called cool stuff. The suitcase is just self storage.
