Yeah, well it is true that the heroine is a bit self-absorbed and bratty, more like a teenager than a 25-year old but she has plenty of moments along the way and a good, generous heart. She is finding it a bit hard to adjust to her new life and reality:) so it is easy to forgive her.
She's the last in a line of extremely powerful witches tasked with the monumental job of ... well, you'll see. Settling in a charming village in Ireland, she slowly learns about magic and it turns out her "hottie" has a few interesting surprises of his own.
This book stands on it's own for which I am glad. I found this to be a sparkly story, sarcastic and pithy in a lighthearted often humorous way. It is surprisingly warm-hearted in places.
I do like a good witch story and this one definitely qualifies.
