I purchased this product four months ago and it just stopped working. It has been one problem after another including their warranty coverage. First, even when the monitor worked, it was very difficult to adjust the volume. It didn't just have a volume control button (that I could find anyway.) To adjust the volume, I had to navigate lengthy onscreen prompts using hidden buttons underneath the monitor.
Next, the monitor stopped working altogether. When I contacted the Amazon SquareTrade extended warranty service, they said I had to contact the manufacturer. When I contacted the manufacturer, the insisted that it's the fault of the HDMI connection. I told them that I'd tried two different HDMI cables that were new and near-new. So now they are sending me material to send the monitor back so they can check the connection. So I will be without a monitor for an extended period of time. It would be so much easier and better for both of us if they'd just send me a new monitor.
Needless to say, I'm disappointed w/ this ViewSonic product and cannot recommend it.
