Great undershirts, not t-shirts

I had the older version of these and I liked them enough that I figured Id order some new ones and finally toss the old ones.

Like others have stated, these are thin, thinner than the original design. However, they are made just as well. I have washed them over and over, and so far there is no shrinking or pilling or threads coming out.

What I really like about these is that because they are thin, they feel like they arent there under my dress shirts. And these are great for warmer weather. I will definitely purchase these again.

Cheapened versions of the originals

Hanes apparently changed the manufacturing composition of these X-TEMP shirts as their now 60% rayon and 40 polyester....totally cheapened. Hopefully you can tell how see through the low and no cotton versions are. Their partly see-through now...very disappointing. They used to be 60% cotton (made in Haiti version) and 95% cotton (made in India version) before that.

Very soft and airy.

Personally, I like the feel and breathability of light weight cotton or linen t-shirts. But these fabrics shrink. jAnd I cannot wear the popular Haynes BeefyT brand because the fabric is too thick, and living in South Florida, thick tees make me sweat...like all the time.

I found when looking online for thin fabric t-shirts that thickness for t-shirt thickness is gauged between 3.4-6.0oz. I'd say the BeefyT is a 6oz.

The t-shirts for this review are very thin and super comfortable and soft, made primarily from rayon and polester, so they won't shrink. Artificial blend tees usually have a tight, compact weave, that makes the shirt sort of shiny, which also makes me sweat because they don't breath. The tees for this review have a looser weave which can be seen through if held to the light. They're not shiny and feel like cotton.

Also the fit is perfect. I wear an XL and I know how XL is supposed to fit and feel on my body to wear comfortably. These are right on. Also, they drape well over the waist if untucked. Sometimes XL fits my shoulders but is tighter everywhere else. These tees fit just right from my waists up!

Tee shirts are expensive for what they are, even at Wal-Mart: about $15-17.00 for a four or five pack. But they're not made from a thin weight fabric. Or, if the shirt is thin, after a couple of washings they produce pills and I throw the shirt away.

I have never seen this brand/style tees in retail stores down here, not even Wal-Mart. And for the few extra bucks these are worth it! Better than buying thick tees that you never wear...unless you live up north.

If you don't want a thick t-shirt, and something thin and breathable to wear as an undershirt...these are it. Trust me, I've been wearing a suit coat with an undershirt beneath my outer shirt for 20 years and my frustration has always been about the t-shirt underneath. They always made me feel constricted in my movements; they bunch up the outer garment, and they make me sweat. These tees are so thin that they will provide the perfect protection beneath a business shirt and help guard against B/O because my body heat won't be as high. Also, they keep your skin tone from not showing thru your outer shirt.

Thin material, decent undershirt

Thin (see-through-thin) material makes for a good summer undershirt. Hubs is 5'11" and about 185 lbs --- he's wearing a large. There were no issues with the shirt untucking, and the sleeves are short so there's less material to bunch up. Good value for undershirts; might buy more.

I'm not sure why my office always feels like a sauna, but I'm one of those people who always feels warm. Unfortunately, shorts and t-shirts aren't considered business casual, so I have to wear a button down shirt and undershirt.

These do the job, well enough. They're lightweight, which means they feel a bit cooler than other undershirts, but I also don't expect them to last more than a year or two with regular wear. For the price though, this is acceptable, and they'll make good shop rags once they're worn out.

Good Hanes T-shirts - Have your scissor ready after the first wash

I've Been wearing Hanes T-shirts for a long time.
It's great for working out at home T-shirts or Under T-shirts.
Its wicks moisture pretty well so I'm not feeling icky during the workout.
Its fits pretty well and is not as long as some of the other T-shirts I have. I think it comes just below my belt.
Great Fit and Good Comfort.
One thing is to have your scissors ready after the first wash, I had to trim off a couple of pieces of string after the first wash but otherwise it has been holding up pretty well after about 3 washes for each T-shirts.
I would buy again !

Thin, light, and loose

Seems the reviews are all over the place. I guess it's all a matter of preference. I like these shirts because they're thin, lightweight, and really soft. Normal cotton undershirts just feel to bulky and stiff. I think the temperature control claims are mostly true. Wore them at a conference and did a lot of walking around. Didn't feel too hot. Also wore them on warm night around town and kept me reasonably cool.

Only dislike is the sizing. Ordered Medium and I was expecting more of an exact fit. (I have an athletic build). The shirt is really loose and the collar open is too big. I guess that's not a bad thing if you prefer something loose, and non constricting around the neck. I think next time I'll order a size down.

These are great shirts, I bought black and white. I always tend to wear plain white,black & grey t shirts. I buy some at least a few times a year. These are super thin which is good and bad. The thinness makes them see through but it’s how it helps keep you cool with the “temp cool technology”. I also wear an XL but I bought 2XL and after washing & drying they fit perfectly as an XL. So I recommend buying a size up unless you’re a really skinny person. These shirts have been great so far. I recommend buy as an undershirt or a normal shirt if you like T shirts.

So much fuzz 👀

It is extremely hot & humid were we live among the cane fields, swamps, bayous in the land of mesquite of bait South Louisiana. The cooler the clothes the better so I was pleased to find these light weight undershirts.
My 5'3 115lb 10 yr old son requested this type of under shirt for under his school uniforms this year. He seems to be happy, swears his shirt is "lighter & not so sweaty"
Me- a mom, no too happy about all the fuzzball on the shirt after the 1st wash. Maybe I got a bad pack, I dont know. But what I do know, fuzzball, fuzzball, fuzzball.

Bought these to replace my old undershirts and interestingly, these feel exactly like them.

Generic Hanes' cotton undershirts are usually rough and need a few laundry-cycles to break-in (smooth/nice feel), but not these. These come as nice and soft already. I agreed with others that the undershirts are a little bit.... flimsy and transparent. They are definitely not suitable for public wear (except if you're planning to show off your body....).

Don't be fooled by the words "X-Temp" or "Cool", these are more or less feels like a smoother/nicer Hanes' cotton undershirt.

I ordered two packs of these. Both packs are in good condition. Both packs were correct in every way. My only complaint is one pack of them were sized slightly different. One pack fits perfect and the other pack had a larger neck area. It's not a huge difference but it's noticeable and if I had a choice I would prefer to have them with the smaller neck holes. I wear these as undershirts for work though so I'm not all that concerned with it. I would buy them again. They're soft. They last a while. And the price isn't that bad.
