How customer reviews and ratings work

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

5.0 out of 5 starsHitting the mark...
Reviewed in the United States on December 20, 2017
Between real life and a dramatization on television, there must always be a certain amount of tension. SEAL Team does a pretty good job of splitting the difference, giving the audience a feel for what missions might be like, while accommodating the need to tell a complete story in 43 minutes or less each week. The show is careful to include the often challenging life away from the job of the team members, along with the tension and suspense of the missions.

David Boreanaz is excellent as the team's highly experienced Senior Chief. He is backed by a strong and largely believable supporting cast that constitutes the other members of his SEAL platoon, the support staff, and their CIA contacts. The ensemble cast is big enough to allow some variety in the telling of the mission of the week. This show might have some legs. Recommended.

I was so excited about this series but stopped watching after the 1st episode. It reminded me of a poorly acted reality show. What a disappointment! :(

3.0 out of 5 stars Do all Seal teams have hot chicks on missions?

I saw this a decade ago on the same network but back then they called it The Unit. Same premise and same mission/family dynamic. So much for bringing something fresh to the table. Angel is now playing a Navy Seal and everyone is beautiful, chiseled out of stone. They call each other "bro" alot and use enough military slang to get all the mall ninja's out breaking out their molle gear wanting to fulfill their warrior fantasies. All the hot chicks that tag along on the missions look like Miss America contestants. Yes these Navy Seals have hot model babes that go on missions with them. I am not kidding. Angel plays a brooding, salty veteran Seal who is assuming the wholesome soldier with marital problems and PSD role. We also got the young hot shot Seal, token black Seal and the middle age redneck Seal. Pretty much got it all covered. Unless you are just a diehard Seal fan boy,, I wouldn't waste time on this one. It is a old recipe we have all eaten many times before. Oh yea and get ready to hear "tier 1" repeated about 96 times per episode...we get it CBS, enough with the tier one every two minutes.

Its Okay, but not as exciting or hold your interest as "G.I. Jane". Exagerates the physical capabilities of women. But we want to be PC now. Also the women are too bossy.

3.0 out of 5 stars Action without humanity
Reviewed in the United States on April 18, 2022
Disclaimer: on episode 5 season 1.
Like: great, dramatic action in every episode, progressive characters, emotions evoked 4/5.
Dislike: lack of detail and/or slow detail on the team's relationships at home. The focus on DOD and tactics might land solid with a crowd of vets, active duty, or an at-home-wanna-be. However, I find myself just as invested in the lives of their wives and children. They seem to be pushed aside to 5-10min at the beginning and/or end of the episode.

The great characters on Seal Team could be more interesting with more emphasis on their real emotional attachments. With more understanding of their at-home life, the drama of going into the field becomes more impactful.

I look forward to the rest of the show. I look forward to understanding the characters more.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great Action Sequences, Great Story, Liberals POV of homelife
Reviewed in the United States on February 22, 2019
Classic misrepresentation of what life is like from a military family's perspective not that you can find anyone brave enough in Hollywood to do that lifestyle justice anymore, everyone is so afraid to authentically show the other side in even the slightest of good lights, ever since that google employee was fired for speaking his mind in a scientific way. Liberals giving action fans what they want while still letting everyone know that they will own your children and how dare you try to teach them any contradictory values while they are young. Also Your underage daughter can wear skin tight leggings without either of the parents complaining a bit. Unrealistic in a family with members that put their lives on the line for what they believe in is all I'm saying.

I absolutely love this show but can not understand why I can’t buy all of season 1 through Prime. It’s available with my CBS pass but I would gladly pay $30 for all of the episodes to binge in able to never see Matthew McConaughey running through the woods again.

Was kind of entertaining at first, but found myself bored after episode 3. Unlikable characters, confusing sub plots, and jumping around in the story made this a hard watch.
