An emotional journey that pulls you under

I first have to say it was great seeing Carter get his HEA. I remember reading briefly about him in "Beyond Forever" Elle's contribution to the Once Upon A Bridesmaids series (Martin and Ryleigh's story)
The 1st chapter alone gripped me by the heartstrings and held mme the edge of my seat. The author has this uncanny ability to not only write complexed characters, but she allows the reader to get so deep into these characters, you are emotionally invested.
Carter is a man who has suffered an unimaginable loss, and it took a spicy, beautiful woman like Brooklyn to show him what he was missing. But Brooklyn too had her fair share of problems, and with Carter's unwavering support, she faces them head on. Each of these character grew tremendously, and the journey they took was inspiring. They were able to not only find what they needed in life and in turn found each other.
And a round of applause for Elle's writing of Senior. As vile and evil as he was, I found myself captivated by what he did and wanted to learn more about his story.
This novel is a definite read. Now... on to the next book in the series.
