Was so unsure about this read. BUT OH MY GAWD. Peyton wrote this book for filth. Lovingly cleaned it with a lint capturing towel and then reigned down love again. This is love. This is support. I would give this read 20 stars if I could just because the authors voice and tone got this painful situation just right, with deep understanding, respect and commitment of the ignorance that surrounds a trying relationship that is still taboo and sometimes viewed with ignorance. This couple were not having it. NONE OF IT! They were in it to win it and pull the flamethrowers out at the haters. The fact that the hero knew he could not compete with what she had materially, knew that she still loved and bled and that he could give her himself and love her deeply and truly. "Don't ever let me go." There were so many good scenes in this book. I was high fiving my mirror. I just didn't want the book or their love to go side-ways with angst and become childish, as so many books tend to do. NOPE, there was a stressful moment for maybe two seconds, but the worked that mess out like grown ups and instead of fighting each other, they fought the world. Peyton Bank - you better write on!!
