How do you survive yearning for your small son who has been taken by his cray-cray mother, while leaving her young daughter with you? If you’re Mitch Tanner, homicide detective, you do your job, take care of your daughter with your mother’s help, and deal with the resultant rage. Since you don’t deal well, you end up indefinitely suspended from your job. Mitch has one clue to find his son and heads to Savannah, Georgia to see if (psychic) friend, Cassie, can help him.
What happens to Mitch and Cassie is terrifying, and provides almost constant tension and suspense, which will keep you glued to the book long into the night. “Into the Darkness” by Author L. T. Ryan, is one of the best books I’ve read this year! The writing is top-notch, with richly described characters and a storyline that doesn’t quit. Fascinating surprises and a set-up for the next book in the Series bring this story to an end. An engaging and entertaining read!
