Great hardware, nascent software, possible quality issues

In many ways, this feels like a prototype product. Overall setup and use is simple, just plug and play. The picture quality is very good and the wide angle is excellent for small rooms. Depending on how you plan to use, you may need a tripod. With that said, the potential of using this excellent hardware is in the software and it really doesn’t do anything but manually pan and zoom at this point. Huddly is promising regular software updates, but I haven’t seen additional functionality added in well over a year. Also, the pan and zoom software is jittery. Very hard to move with any precision. The cable provided is short so you may need the added cost of purchasing a longer cable. Cables that can stretch across the room will cost a few hundred dollars. Lastly, I have had 2 fail within 12 months where the camera would simply turn on and off repeatedly while plugged in. Same exact issue on 2 models, soooo...draw your own conclusions. I’m rooting for Huddly to up their game.
