Amazon calculates a product’s star ratings based on a machine learned model instead of a raw data average. The model takes into account factors including the age of a rating, whether the ratings are from verified purchasers, and factors that establish reviewer trustworthiness.
As a parent I ‘m quite upset about making this purchase. I do understand peers pressure and how this is the popular book right now but it also is not a good source of role models and good behavior (unless you want your kids to sling their underwear at you). There are so many good books out there that will be time much better spent.
i ordered the book on 7/13 and was supposed to deliver by 7/15. And Amazon agent said that it will be delivered by 7/16 8PM. but it was not delivered on 7/16, 7/17. it was finally delivered on 7/20 afternoon.
i don't know why it took that much time to be delivered and the agent did not explain why it took that much time that i expected.
I didn't see that it was a Kindle download and I don't have access to it. I was going to get the book for my daughter for Christmas. I don't know who to contact about trying to get the money back but I probably won't be able to.

My son loved this book and laughed alot. So I decided to give it a go, but found it violent, inappropriate, and indoctrinating. I am certain my son didn't understand 'adult' references, and laughed at potty humor, but some of these 'jokes' would be pretty inappropriate if they were spoken between two adults. Perhaps the point is to desensitize so kids associate these things with something funny, but I felt traumatized! Then again, Lord of the Flies was a violent and traumatic book that I didn't feel was apropos to middle school minds.
