Skipping, foreign menus, poor audio quality
Reviewed in the United States on January 6, 2020
My first big complaint is that they seem to skip when using a bluetooth connection. If I'm listening to an audiobook, they'll miss syllables. It can be as bad as a syllable dropped every 2 seconds, even with my phone sitting 3 feet away.
When you turn them on, there's a voice that tells you that they're on(?), but it seems to be speaking a foreign language, so I'm guessing that's what it's saying. Same with shutting them off, or trying to pair or anything like that. If it's speaking English, I can't understand it.
When listening to audiobooks, if the reader has a deep voice, it seems like they get extra quiet. I'm guessing these need more low end (bass) volume, but some audiobooks, between the skipping and the poor bass volume, these are pretty much unusable for me. For the price, I don't expect them to be audiophile quality, but I expect them to play "all of the sound", even if there's a bit of distortion, tininess, or hollowness to them.
