The plot was good...and different. The hero stole my heart. Collin Sterling seems to have it all. He's rich, handsome, and intelligent. He also comes of arrogant and brash. The truth is that he had a very unhappy childhood and uses his playboy ways as a cover for the insecurity he feels. Olivia has put herself through school to be a nurse and has now saved money to get into medical school. She also works to pay her tuition. She finds Collin to be a jerk and turns down his every invitation for a date. Still, he pursues her for almost two years. I had a hard time figuring out why. I just didn't care for her all that much. She has a sharp tongue, is more stubborn than any mule, and will not admit to any wrong. I honestly didn't see any real improvement in her until about 75% of the book. Collin just kept tugging on my heart the entire time and his "adopted" mother, the homeless Martha was a gem. They are why I kept reading.
For those interested there are no sexual situations to offend any readers.
