Sketches Of A Complicated Murder
Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on March 3, 2018
I fell in love with the two main characters, Florrie and Professor Maxwell. I mean who wouldn't want to sip a cup of tea and discuss whether there is treasure on Oak Island or not...
The book commenced with pages of cast members. I was a bit overwhelmed. Then I decided to ignore the casting and dive into the novel itself. Wise, for me, decision. I was quickly thrown into the tale with the novelties of Florrie being the artist/author of adult coloring books, and her necessity to move into the Professor's Carriage House within six hours or so. What? Why?
A very good reason indeed. One that takes twists and turns throughout the novel. A murder victim that was despicable and although no one should be murdered...well, I must admit was glad he was gone.
I'm not going to tell you any more about this murder because it will draw you into it's main sketch immediately and will be well worth your reading time. Also, as a big bonus there are luscious recipes at the ending.
My only issue is that I will have to wait for the next book in this series. Krista Davis never disappoints.
