Great old school science fiction.

The universe of Concordiat, Combine, and aliens is a great place to tell SF stories in. The crew of the privateer Andromeda, and the Ithicans - human and alien - whose paths intersect in the course of a civil war are neat people. Following their adventure was fun. As a side note, I read this book first, and it still worked well. I DO intend to get book #1, as I expect it to be a good read as well, but I didn't need to. Mr. Kupari is a good story-teller. Don't miss this series.

Deleted before reading because of book 1

I deleted book 1. See review if you want. I had bought book 2 at the same time I bought book 1. Bad move. If Amazon allowed a lower rating i would have chosen it.

Mike Kupari has given this reader exactly what he asked for: more.

The second installment of "Privateer Andromeda" moves to a larger canvas, as the titular starship and her crew return are hired to return an aging revolutionary to the world that exiled him - and participate in the inevitable conflict that results.

The fictional universe gets additional detail, and the political backdrop comes more into focus. We meet Kupari's first non-human sentients, and get a glimpse of that the galaxy was like long before humans arrived in it.

There are plot threads that never fully develop, but hint at things to come. I'm hoping those are addressed in later installments.

I don't normally review books, but this one was just as good as first one in the series. I am looking forward to a third book. I only know that this book kept me entertained enough that when I put it down for a break. I kept wondering what was going to happen next. So all I can say is give this author the chance he deserves, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Captain Blackwood and Andromeda ride again!

I loved this book. The crew of the Andromeda has been hired to transport an exiled former President back to the world he ruled, and from the beginning it is apparent that someone does not want him back. Captain Blackwood and the crew of the Andromeda have their hands full as usual, in space and on the ground. The gang is going to get back together for another mission, and it is a great ride. Not every crew member is a hyper competent superhero, and Kupari's characters are well formed and easy to root for or against.
Kupari has found his own voice with this series, and I am looking forward to more.

This was every bit as good as the first book. If you like sci-fi space operas even a little, you will surely enjoy this one. The characters are good, they all have personalities; you generally like the good guys, you dislike the bad guys, and all the things the good guys have to go through to win keeps you entertained. I really can't find anything I did not like.

Galvanting around the universe on a space ship. Good characters, good story line. This is the second book in the series but it stands on its own. Very little of the previous book knowledge is required to enjoy this story. That knowledge is passed on to the reader without being annoying for those of us that have read the book. Well done.
