What a fantastic book. I've read each of the books he has written and he keeps getting better and better. (Which, frankly, is pretty hard to do since his first book was excellent!) He has become a master of the "Tom Clancy" literary device in which he smoothly runs 3 or 4 character's stories concurrently to develop the plot and then mesh them together to create a marvelous and suspenseful conclusion. Some more experienced writers still struggle at that which makes the story difficult to follow. Not Simon. He's got it!
I usually only read while working out on an elliptical and treadmill machines at the gym around 2 hours a day so I read a lot of books. Some books do not keep my interest and make the time drag on but this book made the time go by so quickly as it was so well written and full of action.
So if you like action stories by other authors such as Brad Thor, Vince Flynn, or Joel Rosenberg, etc. do yourself a huge favor and buy this book. I don't understand why it is so cheap except that he is a fairly new author but don't let that fool you.
And furthermore, as if you needed anything else, this guy is the real deal. He's been there, done that, unlike nearly all the others who write in this category. My only regret is that I've never had the chance to sit down with him over a cup of coffee!
