A hit with 3 and 6 year old

I got this as a 3rd birthday present for my niece, and while initially underwhelmed by the plain brown box of the "frustration free packaging", upon opening the box, her face lit up and she was playing with it in seconds. I think this was a marked improvement over the usual excitement at seeing the box, followed by the torture of waiting for a parent to untangle it from the package. But it could be something to keep in mind if you were purchasing this for a large birthday party where a child wouldn't be able to immediately open the box.
The castle itself is simple but very cute. It does fall over easily if opened completely, but this was easily remedied by folding the sides in slightly to give it better balance. My niece and her 6 year old brother happily played with this for the rest of the afternoon (adding a small stuffed dragon they already own to "attack" the princesses inside). This is a pretty big compliment for a toy, since other many other gifts I've given them failed to keep their attention for more than 15 minutes (they're more of a "let's get outside and run around" group).
