To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
A film that will grant insight into the subtle and pervasive use of propaganda by Hitler and his main media spokesman, Goebbels. There were many films created during the hey day of Nazism that portrayed stereotypes of Jews, French, English, Poles, etc. Films that were not as grotesques as you might imagine, but films that were nuanced and which were effective in shaping the thoughts of the intended audience. The Nazi regime was probably one of the most effective political machines to employ the cinema to advance its ideology. I learned that there are many films created during the period (1933-1945) that are stored in guarded vaults in Germany and which are considered too controversial to be shown even today. Why?? I guess they still pack emotional and slanted views that could be misused/misinterpreted today. They also could still be useful propaganda for Right Wing extremists of today. Hence, certain of these films are kept under lock and key. Something I did not know.
