A well written story with excellent characters and plot. Freely,, the heroine, is human and not a super hero. She has faults and is damaged easily. It is a romance story as much as it is paranormal. The twists and action kept riveted to the story. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Gypsy Blood - Love Bloody Hurts #1 - I love this author and this book is another good read by her. The book is nonstop intrigue and suspense. The characters are likable and interesting; you're in their corner. The sexual tension and humor between the Gypsy and the old vampire was perfect. The book moved along rapidly making it hard to put down. My favorite author is in her form, no stupid formula, just a well written story with likable characters, interesting dialog and storyline. There is vulgar language, but gratefully, it's not overdone, and the sex is in your imagination where it belongs. No cliffhanger.

Scarab: Falling Through Time - It's been a long time since I read a book like this. Funny, entertaining, intriguing; all while a good story is being told. This is a well written time travel story with it's own little spin. The characters are developed, but don't expect realistic dialog. We've got Ancient Egyptian that has modern English translations. But this is some of what makes this story funny. There is a dark side in this story with trying to keep the magical scarab safe and the some of the main characters alive. The reader expects certain things, which the plot delivers but it's how to survive the bad things that is intriguing. I enjoyed this book immensely and have the next book lined up to read. I enjoyed this author's work and contacted her for ARCs.

The Sea Tips - What a story! The emotions this tale brings out. A well written, sad but heartwarming story with a twisting plot and diverse characters. This little story reminded me of Big Fish and the Bible to name a few items. This is the second story I've read by the author and I look forward to reading more of her work.

My Mother's Hands - Heartwarming. A sad, but true story, that we should all read and pay attention, especially the younger of us. You'll regret it later in life, even though it happens to parents before we die. This is the first story I've read by the author and I look forward to reading more of her work.

The Cassie's Coven series is full of fun, growth, suspense and mystery. The main characters are four young girls learning about life and being witches. Even their familiars are entertaining. Perfect for all ages since these stories are not simplistic nor silly, just entertaining.

Cassie's Coven #1 - A delightful surprise. I found this to be an interesting little story about four 10-year-old girls discovering friendship and the possibilities of magic. They also solve a crime and rescue animals. The adults are pretty interesting with how they respond to their children. This is a good book for all ages.

Same story line and similar characters as her book Four Psychos

This book was almost identical to four psychos. The ghost in this book speaks the same and acts like the main character Paca in Four Psychos. The ghost in this is incredibly annoying, where I would skip over whole sections to avoid her parts, which was at times impossible. A lot of spelling errors. I don't understand how an author doesn't edit. The writing style is also similar to the Four Psychos. Not really any plot twists or anything unpredictable. The only big thing happens at the end. I think the author tries to monopolize over quirky characters that act overly sexed and say random things. Maybe cute for two seconds, but you get over it fast.

Rife with misspelling

This book could be great, but the misspelled and misused words in tandem with an attempt to transition between U.S., Australian, and New Zealand idiomatic English is very hard to read. The timeline is also convoluted. Freely, the female protagonist, and her bestie Tanya are both 18, but are working as bartenders in Texas - which is grounds to have the bar lose it’s liquor license. When Tanya was still in high school, she was turned into a vampire (so I’m guessing she stopped aging at 16?). If the book were set in Australia or New Zealand, this premise might work a bit better.

Who hasnt been her shoes at least once in their lives. Given all of themselves for nothing. This tale resonates deep within, the betrayal, the pain, yet still the unwavering love. Then the path of doing whatever, just to feel again, even if it drips your heart out further.
