This is a very cool book. It's full of rituals and spells for keeping a home safe. The author has been thorough in her work. If there is anything left out, I sure don't know what it is. Tons of historical data about the different ways celts and others worshipped the various gods and goddesses. Lots of interesting stuff and I would happily recommend it to anyone writing a book on the celts and old English witchcraft characters.

I would give this to someone who really doesn't have much background. It's more of a lifestyle book, and has lots of nice advice about journaling, and baking bread, and so on, but it's not in depth about the Craft. This is not a criticism, it's just to say if you are looking for something light and breezy, this is for you, and if you are looking for something nitty gritty, this is not. I would get this as a gift for a beginner or for someone into cottage core.

I really didn't like this book the first 1/4 way through. With all the overly basic info and definitions and major Christian vibes. I was raised Christian so it definitely felt off and misleading. I am glad I continued to read it. It did get better. I have been in a funk for a while and some things resonated and kinda helped me to take 1 step out of the rut I've been in. The rituals she has are really nice. The essential oil blends, incense blends, etc are simple but resonate. The recipes for meals are not anything that I'd be interested in making. I gave it 4 stars cause of the Christian vibe it has. But that's cool some people might be into that.

How to be content being a housewife if you aren't content being one by making it magickal. That's what this book is about. And being a housewife is fine (I am a homemaker and an eclectic witch myself) and should never be shamed or looked down upon. But witchcraft is not about keeping women indoors keeping their husband's happy. Ever heard of the Salem witch trials?? Hello?? The Green Witch by the same author is fantastic, and while I did get some good info from this one (a cauldron spell I used as a rain spell for instance) it's forbeginners, but I dont recommend it for beginners. Because this is 2023 and witchcraft is about owning and harnessing a power they've always wanted to take from us but cannot. This book says, tame that power, keep it in the house, be a housewife.

This is a very easy, quick read. It has lovely ideas for setting up sacred space in any home, house or apartment. The author has a smooth and relaxing "voice", writing as I imagine she would speak. Her approach is low pressure, grounded, and again...accessible. Anyone could find parts of this book that would inspire home crafts. Recipes and practical advice run throughout.
Highly recommend for beginners!

The author's ignorance is painful to relate. I gave up on p. 12, which states "Once upon a time organized religion was depended upon to be the source for spiritual fulfillment. With increasing dissatisfaction being felt within organized religion institutions, the relocation of the spiritual focus to the home, either as the central element or a supportive one, makes sense." Eureka! What a great idea! But Christianity began as a house religion, an offshoot of judaism, in which the sabbath rite is still celebrated friday evening in the home by the woman of the house. I, for one, do not trust the writings of an author so lacking in basic knowledge. A shameful waste of paper.
