Face it.

OEM ink isn't cheap.

But OEM ink won't gum up your printer.

I'm a Professional Geek, and I make a LOT of money replacing print heads gummed up by cheap "Compatible" ink. I don't get paid for working on my own stuff, so I use the Real Deal.

This was a few bucks cheaper than a large office retailer, and it was dropped at my door.

All ink is a Cash Cow for the manufacturer, no matter what brand printer you have. Shop around and get a good deal.

This was a good deal.

Pay the extra for OEM ink, and avoid my bill. I don't come at a bargain price, especially considering Corona. Printers are a PAIN.

And, a hint: if you don't use your printer a lot, print a test page once or twice a week.

I have Canon Photo Printers for photography, but the Brother is my Workhorse. Work orders, letters, quick print photos are child's play.

And they work on Linux. The others don't.

Lasts only a few pages.

After printing just a few pages with a brand new set of cartridges the print quality dropped off. I went through the print head clean-up process and the quality recovered alas only for a couple of pages. I don't know whether the problem is with the printer or the cartridges, either way the system is defective and Brother customer service is less than helpful.

Stick to genuine Brother Ink

After using non oem ink, i finally switched back to genuine brother ink. What I noticed is that if you use non oem ink, it will waste a lot of ink during the cleaning the print head cycles. You also don't know exactly how much ink is left. So now, the ink levels show properly, and no wasted ink in cleaning cycles.

Everyone knows OEM are the best. But, is it really worth the cost? Not for me. I will never buy OEM cartridges again. They’re robbing us. I’ve now bought several compatibles for my printers, business printers, friends printers. They make great gifts because everyone hates the price of these original cartridges. But, if money isn’t an issue, I recommend these.

I needed a high-yield b/w printer and the ease of installation, the easy of putting in the toner and the rapid quality print blew mw away. I have about six brands of printers in my house and they’re basically crap with ink cartridges that last about six pages and cost as much as a house payment. I promptly bought another Brother printer for color printing and I’m equally pleased with it.

You can never go wrong purchasing name brand cartridges. There are plenty of substitutes on the market and they are less expensive but the ink is not as sharp and clear at least in my experience.

Like to use the Brother ink over aftermarket ink. Aftermarket ink does not last as long in my printer. Also levels of ink shown on computer is incorrect with aftermarket ink. Prints nice with great color. Pay a little more but you get what you pay for.

We have this set up through our printer to order through amazon when we are getting low. Buying ink is one of those annoying things and not a high priority but this service is amazing! The ink itself lasts as Long as it says on the packet and it is good quality.

I know brand name ink is more expensive, but I'm done buying cheap, knock off ink. It always gets messy or ruins my printers, so I am only buying OEM ink now.
