How customer reviews and ratings work

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

5.0 out of 5 starsA nice, creepy collection of horror short stories
Reviewed in the United States on October 24, 2018
I don't usually read horror novels or horror short story anthologies. Horror stories can be really intense, the kind of intense found in the 'Saw' movies or the 'Hostel' movies. I usually read ghost stories, but I think I have exhausted that genre, since I recently purchased a single short story that I'd previously read. Anyway, to get back to reviewing 'The Trees Have Eyes' ... I really enjoyed this collection of horror short stories. They're scary, of course! They were my kind of scary. I hope the editor Tobias Wade puts together many more horror anthologies.

I won't provide the names of specific authors but the stories in this book, in my opinion, ranged from marginally creepy and somewhat professionally penned to lame, boring and poorly written. Some stories had obviously been edited (or at least proof-read) while others had not. Two stories in particular had so many typos they were difficult to read. And, several others had the super-annoying "at" stuck onto the end of sentences. "Where is it at?" Jeez. My writing teachers always told me that "every writer should at least show some knowledge of the basics of english and and never dangle a preposition". While this book has a few good stories it has at least an equal number that are truly a waste of time.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great collection of eerie tales from the woods.

This was an awesome collection of horror tales from in the woods, with some jump scares but mostly general creepiness.

I really enjoyed the diverse interpretation of the theme from the long list of writers, each with a unique voice and tone that added to the setting and horror. The stories aren't necessarily in your face, shock-and-awe horror, but rather dark and unsettling, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Many of the authors did a great job with setting, strong characters, and knowing what to leave out so your imagination can fill in the blanks. It's often what we don't know or see that it most terrifying.

Great read. I will definitely recommend this to others.

None of these stories are too complicated or cruel and it was great fun reading for an hour or two (or maybe a little more) before sleeping.
Absolutely enjoyable stories starting with camp stories similar to ones I remember frightening my younger brothers with. Don't miss this fun collection!

This one is my favorite out of the Haunted Library collection. Some typos, but that stuff doesn't bother me. Last story was my favorite but the authors name wasn't listed. I wish I knew who wrote it so I could buy one of their books.

There are many stories in this book. Some are sweet and to the point. Some stories are drawn out and intricate. At least one will disturb you. There is a little something for everyone in here. Try it, you will like it.

All of the stories were full of twist and turns. It didn't take long to get through this book. Then I was saddened cause there was no more.
